Question

How come when HK47 uses Havoc perk immediately after padme uses unwavering courage perk all of padme's squad gains the debuff tenacity down.
Doesn't padme's perk resist "all" debuffs for 1 turn?

  • Unless I'm mistaken, Tenacity Down is not resistible. This is because TenacityDOWN is a counter to TenacityUP and to generally high tenacity. If you have to land TenacityDOWN against someone with TU or high T, then it ceases to function as a counter.

So, again, assuming I understand things correctly, which I might not, the TD will land because it cannot be resisted and "resists all debuffs" only resists all debuffs that the game allows a chance to resist. But since Padmé's ability causes her squad to resist "all" debuffs, landing the TenacityDOWN won't help any ally of HK land any other debuffs.

Either those other debuffs are also not resistible, in which case the TD doesn't matter, or they are, in which case they will be resisted automatically ... and thus TD doesn't matter.

The only way the TD can possibly affect the game at that point is counting as a dispellable debuff that increase damage for things like Vader's Culling Blade or Boba's Execute or GeoSpy's special, whatever it's called.
  • I've looked at the havoc perk description and it doesn't say "which can't be resisted" anywhere or on any other perk regarding tenacity.
I just found it strange that td is the only perk not being resisted, which doesn't help my kenobi who's tenacity is at 120%.
I think the description is misleading but I'll get over it.

Just reminds me of bobafetts perk "Execute" if the enemy is killed they cant be revived unless your NS zombie of course.

    Thanks for your time

They have placed in the game a few things that are designed "to work", because if they didn't, they would serve almost no use. 2 major ones for debuffs are that Tenacity down will always pass through the "potency/tenacity check", and the fact that daze is actually checked before the damage is done (other debuffs come after damage)

I dont believe the tenacity one is stated anywhere, but the daze was a change they made and you could probably find it if you looked.

your example of execute, while technically correct, its not linked to the killing method, but an element of NS zombie herself. This has been stated also and can be searched if someone wants to dig in.
  • I think it's that ten-down isn't resistible in general (iirc) so it's not in the description, but yeah, things could be worded better
  • @Kyno

Thanks. I was pretty sure that TenacityDOWN was not resistible, but it's very nice to have confirmation.

So that the attack inflicting daze cam't be countered?

Yes (if the daze did land of course)

Correct, that is why they made the change a while back, that and allow daze to stop other abilities that would grant TM gain from attacks and such.
