Rex lead FOST Thrawn GK and DN
Can somebody explain why this squad is catching on? What are the mechanics that make it would. It looks super slap dash to me but some top notch guys are starting to run it.

What makes fost formidable is his counter ability slows and when zeta'd consistently calls assists. Fost paired with a fast zylo and fracture isn't nearly as bad as it is on most other toons, zylo's tm boost helps fost recover tm pretty fast almost making it more like a slow than a stop. EP has never stopped being usable - if people can't use EP they don't have good mods or they construct teams poorly.
Even properly modded his armor and health are subpar to just about everyone else in game in comparison
He has more combined protection and health than Rex and similar armor, though it's less. Rex has a max health on leader, but EP also has what amounts to a 100% heal generally. Assuming just 80% heal if he's taken damage, his combined protection and health when paired with the heal is 42k total vs. Rex's 28k pre mods and pre leads (remember EP has a max health lead as well). If people can make Rex work there's no reason EP can't as well. He's much better offensively than Rex.
