If this is true (and I'm not saying it is... but there doesn't seem to be much going on here in this thread to indicate otherwise), the correct answer to OP is "no." There is no counter to Rex meta. Thanks for the great game, EA. Once the whale finds his true soulmate, Rex, the game is over.
There is only one strategy to get better mods. And that is 1. To have money. And 2. To be a total idiot with no respect for money. And 3. To enjoy your victory of being a total idiot with money. You can call yourself a benefactor of the game, but you are choosing to destroy it. I know. Blame the game, not the player. In this case, maybe some of both. It would be one thing to use an exploit to win. In this case it's a combination of that plus stoopid, idiotic, retarded amounts of money.
