What type of mod your crew got doesn't matter at all
Ships are simple
You just need to increase raw power number of ships to increase their stats. There's no other way.
So
1. Increase the power of the crew (6 5 dot level 15 mods are enough, no speed secondary, potency cross needed)
2. Increase the star of the ship and ship ability levels, and ship levels.
3. Done.
