the concealed word is one that starts with I, ends with T, and has DIO in the middle. For the record, though I think that's obvious, I wouldn't call anyone here that word and I'm trying to get people to treat people more generously, not less.

That is not how I was treating the op or anyone. If that is what you read into it I can't help that.
I personally try to keep my negativity out of the forum.
  • Are all of your pilot's mod slots equipped? I usually throw my high-dot level 15 mods that didn't turn out as well on my characters that I am only using as pilots like Jedi Consular. That makes a big difference.

So, the OP is supposed to make the ship and pilot better? Boy, that's the most specific and helpful advice I've ever read in these forums.

You have no clue about this so my advise to butt off. The advise from Scuba is the truth. Improve every single piece of gear will get you that 1 or 2 speed that will help you outspeed your opponents. All 5* lvl 15 mods, 7* pilots and 7* ships. He wants that edge, he gotta pay the price, but back to OP if you want to go all out on 1 pilot, do it for TFP you will not regret it

Some of you guys seem to be aggressively working very hard to not hear Masterseedy's simple idea.

'And some contributions require more Credits than others, while Promotions require more time than others, etc. If you compare parts of the document, you can put your effort into the parts of your character that will help the most and the soonest. You don't get that from advice like "improve everything".'

So yeah, improve everything. Duh. What if we can't wave a magic wand and max everything overnight? What then? What should we prioritize? What gives best return on our effort or expenditures?

If those answers are unknown, as in "The community, despite its best efforts to quantify things, hasn't had much luck figuring this out." then simply say so.

Otherwise, if - as I suspect - there ARE some answers in this regard, then links or prose would be helpful. In which case, "improve everything" turns into a dismissive, somewhat a ssine answer. Get it?
  • The OP didn't ask how to use his credits and gear most effectively, he asked how can he be sure he goes 1st. The only way to do that is to max out your ship completely, as stars, gear, pilot level, ship level and ability level all contribute to ships stats. @scuba answered the question asked.
  • To beat the other ship's speed is to have better gear, mods, * of toon and * of ship than him. Scout his pilot coz you cannot look at his ship stats (only his ship level and *, when you click in you only viewing your own ship), then outdo him its that simple. No need getting critical
  • @Apotheosis:

And I did put a link in, though this forum makes it hard to see them sometimes.
  • @scuba:

I did read you as dismissive. Since you weren't, that's my bad. Apologies.
