You're right R1 was released through tournaments. The new lifecycle began with Krennic/DT. The only thing from tournaments which is not farmable yet is Tie Advanced. So chances are really good to get all 3 of those farmable soon.

I could see TIE Advanced for Vader being the "hard to get" item. I just wish excess shards of Vader went towards the TIE Advanced after you 7-star him. Would keep achievements a bit more relevant for the top-tier players.

now Sith i can see fighting themselves to become one of the 2 sith allowed... so fighting all other sith with sith to become the one standing or to eliminate the one trying to take you out and take over your palce.

That makes sense, but the clue said "An Imperial threat rises" - I am pretty sure we will see a key member of the Empire or a few reworded Empire toons to add to it. We will see.
