I use zdooku in my zaul led team (zaul, zavage, zDooku, sid, ep). His base speed is above 230 (can't remember exactly right now). He always goes first, and many times goes 2 or three times before the rest of my team depending on whether or not he gets hit right out of the gate (which he does, because, as the first one on my team to go, it means he's the first one out of stealth, and thus, the only targetable character).
I'd say, with a zaul lead, if you have his speed above 215 or so you'll be alright, but above 230 is better :)
