Thought of a Cad Bane rework

Hello guys, I just signed in to the forums to submit my idea of a Cad bane rework, after months of watching threads silently


I just love this character, which is, IMO, the most badass Bounty Hunter in the Star wars universe, and I think that Cad bane in this game doesn't represent at all the character, there is so much to do with him that I don't understand why he hasn't been reworked yet.


So let's get started.

Cad Bane.


-------- Basic attack - His Gun and Gauntlet :wink:

Deal physical damage to a target ennemy with 40% to attack again, the second attack deals 30% less damage and stuns the target.
Jedi can't evade this attack.

(The second attack is made with the Gauntlet)

-------- Special - His Flamethrower :wink:

Deal damage to all ennemies, has 70% chance to inflict buff immunity and 2 damage on time.
This attack can't inflict critical strikes.

-------- Unique - The rocket propulsor thing at his feet. :wink:

Cad Bane gain 20% evasion, whenever he evades an attack Cad Bane gain Speed Up for 2 turns.

-------- Leader - Hunter's reflexe :wink:

Bounty Hunters allies gain 20% evasion and gain 25% turn meter and Critical Up for 2 turns whenever they evade an attack.


I thought of all this while keeping all his actual stats, so his low potency would make his debuffs balanced, the speed up would fix is speed problem, and the dodges would make him more viable despite his low health while keeping his dmg.

It's my first post ever in this forum, and i'm not fluent in English, so pardon my french and move the topic elsewhere if it's not the right place for that :smile:

  • You should have posted this in General Discussion. It will get more attention. And I agree, he's the best BH in Star Wars.
    Your ideas are really good, but he would still be a bit underpowered because of his base damage. How about his second basic doesn't have damage penalty (maybe Omega or something) and his flamethrower could inflict either DoTs or Healing immunity in addition to Buff Immunity. DoTs would make him a really good alternative to Boba in Arena. And healing immunity would counter the Upcoming Nihilus meta.
    I also think a Zeta for his unique will be cool

    I'm only level 73 and stopped going for BH around 65 so I don't know if his base damage are low, they seemed fairly good for me at my level

    And thank you for the tips, I agree for the Zeta, even if I would add 20% Tenacity, to make the Zeta worth it, and to help him survive a little more against other Zetas like Vader and stuff
    If the base dmg are actually low, we could up it and keep the dmg reduction on the basic attack, i Thought it would be too op to have a second attack that deals the same amount of dmg and has 100% chance to stun.

    I've put 2 Dots already on the Flamethrower, and i didn't want it to be able to critically strike to stick to the reality, as a flamethrower will always deal the same damage, you can't aim for weak spots or w/e with that weapon, so maybe have good damage on the flamethrower, but no critical strikes
  • In all honesty, the rework you suggested would probably make him worse than what he already is. That's hard to do.
