Tie Fighter Pilot

TFP isn't anywhere near an arena toon in a mature shard, but he can do a lot of damage early on when paired with an AOE debuff squad. If you run him with someone like Vader or Tarkin he can shine.

Mods are the most important part of the game. Everyone gets the same toons. Not everyone gets the same mods. You can excel even with just the basic health set as long as you understand them. Google one of the game-changer videos and mod upgrade flowchart. Id spend all of your cantina ensrgy each weekend farming 5 dot mods. You do get quite a few good ones from the marquee character and assault battle events.

Once you Omega his basic, you’ll get an extra 15% damage there, plus he gets +35% damage for Every Enemy Suffering a Debuff...so that’s a potential +175% damage.

As for crits, you need to run a crit damage mod set and a crit chance mod set with a CD (or CC) Triangle and a potency (primary) cross...and lots of speed.

So does that mean I need Jawas for the mod challenge. To be honest I'm not well versed in mods. Or should I do scoundrels for crit chance?

I can regularly do over 20k on his basic with debuffs on the board. Course he's completely maxed at g12 and has a crit dmg triangle for a total of 186% base crit dmg.

And I'm running him in arena currently. You just need to gear him more and max his basic ability out.

Where do you place and how old is your shard?

Mine is 14 months, I'm in the 1-60 range, and I can't remember the last time I saw a TFP. All DS teams are EP Vader Sion DN Thrawn. A few Traya. I think one IPD.

So TFP can help me 7* R2. But maybe I should be investing in someone else?

I'd keep using him. You don't have much better options to farm as of right now, and he's not bad at all, just dated. The more you invest, the better he'll get.

That said, the best use for him is probably getting r2. Outside of that, he'll probably see TW action and maybe TB. He is one a pretty good ship too.

My suggestion is go for g9 or g10, unless he ends up being an important ship for you.
