Vandor Chewbacca

This post is about Vandor Chewbacca (from the Solo movie characters), not the legendary event one. This original post was thrown into the merge thread. Original post:

Regarding his Freedom Fighter ability. I personally think this ability should not miss. It should also ignore defenses and Foresight. Why? By using this ability while prepared, he uses up prepared. Which means if a light side scoundral dies while he's not prepared, then they're dead (his zeta). He may sacrifice his prepared status to heal an ally and if it misses, well, total waste of a turn.

Discuss.

  • Disagree. If you've got more than the two percent miss chance, why are you using his skill and Prepared?

Maybe, give it two attacks instead of hitting twice if getting dodged is that big a deal. I don't think it is, even with Bastila roaming the streets.

The prepared bonus is double damage (read-double the heal) and also healing chewbacca and also protection up (possible team wide) and also getting the skill off cd faster. Getting all of that off of a tank special is the prepared bonus, I don't think it needs to ignore defense and be unavoidable. Pick a different target, or if it's the last target the prot up is probably enough and is not tied to the attack being successful.

I don't think everything needs to be unavoidable. What's the point of dodging in the first place then? Unless another team is dodge heavy, making JTR, Bastila, and newteam with heavy foresight, then we should be good with what we have rn that is unavoidable
  • You got a choice between a maybe heal or a sure fire rez.

Vandor is guarded by L3 and big zfor one reason and it is not damage or heals.

Focus on keeping a buff on vandor. -25 damage across the board is way superior to a heal or damage..
  • Yes, it will do all that if it hits. But if it misses it does absolutely nothing AND disables his zeta until he becomes prepared again. The new legendary Chewbacca has an ignore defense on one of his abilities and a can not be evaded on another ability. It's the same Chewbacca, just different timelines.
  • I'd like to point out that prot up is a little harder to get rid of than advantage (a stray aoe won't make chewie counter and lose it)

And it's the same chewbacca at a different point in time. Why don't all hans shoot first, taunt, heal, revive, and have stacking offense? same character at different point in time. a simple answer is balance
