I would agree with starting with a scoundrel team. Especially focus on Boba, ST Han, Lando and IG -88. Boba is arena worthy, and ST han, Lando and 88 have faction tags that make them useful elsewhere in the game.

Crystals and credits are the lifeblood of the game. And the credit crunch is harsh in mid game, so farming scoundrels is a good way work through that. No matter what the meta becomes, scoundrels will always provide the credits to fuel your teams.
