As for OP... I am top 20 every day on a December shard, top 10 (even #1 a couple of times), without refreshes running HK (L), 86, 88, JE and Sun Fac. I would get JE ASAP. As others have said, even at 4* he's a game changer for droids as he makes them go first.
As for your taunter, Sun Fac is hard to get unless you want to spend $$$ (I got lucky and pulled him from multiple chromiums when I spent some cash around the 5/4 bonus holiday, then finished him off with the shipments), but he is freakin' awesome. GGuard would be an interesting choice, but he competes for Guild currency with JE, so I'd focus on RG. STH is too squishy and Poe, even though he has the highest Poe-tency in the game, his Potency isn't enough to make him top tier since his nerf.
