Why have a duelist boss fight in conquest when the rest of the game is 3v3 or 5v5?

Question

coming across inquisitor team in conquest and rather than being able to take my old republic team that i stomp them with in it is making you duel them 1 at a time. This ruins the whole point of building out A TEAM that plays well with each other and punishes not having built great duelist characters into your teams? Can anyone explain why this was a decision that got pushed through

Keep in mind the first 2 sector final bosses were a straight 5v5

This is just the modifier for that boss battle. It's not even the first time it's been in Conquest.Just bring your five strongest units.

tried that even moving around Mods only had 2 that could win there battle given the major stat buff they get from the fight plus bonus from Elite and boss

would not be as big of a deal if mace's shatterpoint went off every turn like it does in normal combat
