Anybody do the 7* Yoda with Ima Gun Di lead, and can provide some input?
I'm liking the return attacks for removing foresight, but not sure about Ima's defense-down prog on Yoda hurting me. Also, Lumi may end up being better simply for evade boost.
I'll have: IGD (L), Lumi, JC, EK, Ashoka in a couple days, all at pretty close to max gear, lvl 70. Think that'll work?
I'm 20 shards away from finishing IGD. I'll be refreshing his nodes to finish him in time. I'm going to try IGD (L), Lumi, QGJ, JC, and Eeth. I smoked 6 star yoda first try with that team. All level 70, gear 8. I actually won the match when I accidentally used Humbling Blow. Offense up for the whole team, yoda tried to steal. All five countered and wiped him out. It was awesome.
Let us know how it works out, very interested. Trying hard to get IGD, maybe for the next event because I doubt I'll beat Yoda this time around.
Okay, after maybe an hour and a half of trying, I was finally able to complete the 7*, with: IGD(L), Lumi, JC, EK (aka useless sack), and Ashoka (aka beastmode). I tried swapping in Lumi for lead, but the dodging didn't seem nearly as helpful as the counter attacking.
The opponents with Yoda were IGD and JC. The enemy JC's healing wasn't a factor like I thought it would be since he only heals for 3K which is nothing on Yoda.
RNG was my friend, and the key really is just luck. It was NOT easy. On the winning round:
1) I focused Yoda first. No Bariss trick, since my team just didn't ever last long enough for two rounds of heals from Bariss. You can get Yoda dead in that time.
1) Yoda didn't hit for as many crits, and he spread his attacks around, and most of my big hits this time landed for crits. This is really the only way it was going to happen for me- getting the RNG help.
2) Against conventional wisdom, I saved the heals until I needed them-- that is, until many teammates were moderately injured. Because you're going to need luck of Yoda spreading it around, if he focuses anyone down you're dead anyways.
3) The key with IGD lead is to never have Yoda's foresight on when he does his Masterstroke, and to get lucky with RNG and have 3-4 of your guys counter, with big hits. Finally I landed a few of these.
4) Hope that Ashoka gets focused first, and ironically, it is very very helpful to keep her alive until Yoda is dead. This is because her basic does a large amount of self-heal, and with counters, she pops back up to full health super fast.
5) Again, against conventional wisdom, you might try saving Ashoka's special until Yoda is in the yellow. I landed a lucky 9K crit which helped. The damage probably helped out a lot more than a few K of healing spread around early would have. Since these Jedi's are a wet noodle factory against buff Yoda, you'll need every ounce of damage you can squeeze out.
6) It seems like once Yoda is down into yellow health he falls quickly. Maybe just luck.
7) Last but not least, I ended up with my team: a wounded IGD and Ashoka, versus an enemy JC and IGD both at full health. My IGD dropped pretty fast, and then Ashoka took on both JC and IGD, and very very easily killed them both, while healing herself up and ended up at full health herself. I can't stress enough how key Ashoka was in completing this. And RNG. always RNG.
Cheers, and good luck guys and gals. the final Yoda challenge seems very tough (and it is!), but I think that most teams should be able to complete it, but any team will require a tremndous amount of loving from RNG. The key is to not give up, and try and just make it a game of seeing how far down you can get Yoda each time.
