So I finally have enough zetas to zeta someone. The question is who? I'm currently debating between Vader and Maul. Both 7 stars, level 85, gear 9. I currently run a Nihilus lead Sith team in arena but could switch to Zaul if he's better. But Vader is so useful in HPIT I hear with a zeta. Thoughts? I've also pondered on using the zeta for Qui-Gon, but my Jedi team isn't all that great yet.

Maul isn't what he used to be and without the toons to back him, he's not that good any longer. The best Maul teams I've personally encountered had Maul lead zetad, Savage, Sith Assassin, Sith Trooper and DN. Maul and Assassin especially had a lot of speed, more on Sith Assassin.Maybe Vader to up your scores in the Pit Raid? It's super easy with him I've heard. I never used a zeta in him.Did you zeta DN? What other toons do you have to choose from?

I might stick it on Nihilus if you're already running that in arena. I think Maul is played out for the time being. I feel good about Nihilus lead Sith in arena given the right gear/mods, but I don't run it myself so take it with a grain of salt.

OTOH, if you want to develop your Jedi team, QGJ is an amazing zeta.

How's your Kylo Ren or your R2? Both are better choices. Or, more importantly, how are other people's R2s? If they are good, don't zeta Maul, because it'd be a waste. I actively seek out Maul squads because they are easier to defeat than any other option I have right now. Either way, don't be like me and zeta Tarkin's lead. Sounded cool, but it wasn't.Savage Opress is a good one and works really well under a Nihilus lead (even without his leadership zeta) if you want to keep your zeta dark sideish. Vader's zeta used to be way better than it is currently, and it's only really good for raids now. Maul got crushed by the release of R2.

I wouldn't do Maul unless you can also do zSO. The toughest Maul teams left have zSO alongside him. Personally, I'd hold on to those zetas for a while until you can get R2 and CLS arena-ready. You can keep using your DN in a non-lead role with a CLS, R2, DN and two others team. My current arena leader is zMaul and I'm slipping week by week, I just can't keep up with the CLS and Friends teams

Sounds like you have an empire heavy/Sith squad, so either Vader or Maul at this point and time. But, if you go the Maul route, as another poster stated, you'll want to work on Savage and zeta him as well. You'll also want Sith Assassin, Sith trooper. DN is fine at 5* as long as he's g11.

R2 is fantastic but he needs a lot of speed and does not offer bonuses to empire/sith allies.

Basically, if you're looking for an arena team, the I think Maul is your best best. If it's for raids, Vader. As long as you're having fun, it doesn't really matter, honestly. The zetas will come (slowly but surely), and before you know it you'll have 5-6 toons ready to roll.

If you want to be top 100 in arena maul. If you want to be #1 in Hpit and HATT phase 4 and be 100-200 in arena Vader of you decide Vader use EP DT GAT and tp

For arena, it's Maul with formidable support (zeta Savage, etc). In pit, zader quite old for now.. there is more reliable char: CLS for Hpit. Well.. if u have him, u know what to do ;)
