zylo still fine for p1 haat

title says it. Took us 12 minutes longer to do p1 with zylos. Basically just made it a bit more annoying, that's all, so... thanks for that. Just a QOL... downgrade?

Just slightly more annoying, slightly more frustrating, and slightly more time consuming. Everything you want in an upgrade!

Yeah that was the confusing thing about this change - what was the point? Just made the same task a bit more annoying. Very much wasted time to make the correction.

Glad you still were able to use it.
  • can someone explain in depth how it does change the P1 with zylo?
  • Thank you for the update. We're attempting the HAAT tomorrow and are depending on Zylo to help us through p1. So good to know.

Kylo's ability to refresh cooldowns was also refreshing the escape timer. They fixed it so Kylo no longer can manipulate the escape cooldown. Just have less chances to escape now, and if you can't then need to retreat, and do it again.

How many Zylos does your guild have?
  • Kylo's unique gives him a 50% chance to reset his cooldowns whenever he takes damage. During raids, this would reset the ability to escape along with his specials.

When this was combined with his zeta ability to recover protection, you could attack until 3-4 turns before enrage, and have several chances to escape. This would then be repeated until the phase was finished.

This update makes it a bit more annoying because now Kyle only gets one chance to escape every 8 turns, just like everyone else. That means that if he fails to escape, you have to retreat and try again. It is still possible to use him to "solo" the phase, it is just much more time consuming and aggregating.

That said, in an active guild with 50 people participating, if everyone sends in five jedi, it shouldn't be necessary to use Kylo to do the whole thing alone.

In many guilds, including mine, you only send in one team per phase, which makes this technique unnecessary and unallowed, but for guilds that are attempting to complete Haat for the first time, it made it much easier to get though P1.

The upshot of this change is that it changes nothing for established HAAT guilds, and it doesn't stop guilds from using the technique, which means it was changed solely to make an already tedious task even more tedious, thus re-establising the fact that FTP and lower level guilds should have things be more difficult, since they don't support the game.

  • If nothing else, it will bring more attention to the supposed rng in the game. I did a Zavage p1 2 days ago and had literally 7 or more runs in a row (read 14 escape attempts) fail. There is NO WAY it's 40%. 1 in a thousand odds if it were 40%.
