My guild mate just said this and probably going to be agreeing with him:
“Their (CG/EA Help Desc) purposes give the illusion of real help. Also to fix some smaller more trivial issues. But just like phone trees and hold queues, their primary purpose is to keep people busy and away from actual help until they give up.”

CG, please, I don’t have much time left till the GAC’s last, 3rd, round will start! I want to believe there is a reason to have helping desk in this game! Less than 48 hours left guys!

This isn’t about gaining an advantage—just restoring what I already had before a misclick. Losing a full set a week before expiry hits my roster hard. Any help from CG would be greatly appreciated.

It's the weekend. They don't work on weekends, holidays, or months that have 30 or 31 days in them. It's a Calif tech company thing.

I think doubtful. As you said the 'in game' help is just a run around until you give up, unless it's an easy fix.
As for your mods showing in GAC. GAC is saved from when the event goes live, not now. So, most likely those mods are gone.
