Account linking bug, 2 accounts same google email

Summarize your bug I have 2 accounts linked to the same Google play email address. I have an old account u used to play back in 2017, I decided I wanted to try and play the game again so when I installed and was asked to sign in I put in my google email, and logged in to my profile associated with that email address, name is qweqweqweqwe321. when I logged in it gave me the option of starting a new save and overwriting my old one, I said no, i wanted to continue my old save. after that it proceeded to start a fresh game for me and not load my older account.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure how you could replicate this, maybe because my older connect was created long before EA connect was a thing. I'm not sure, but all I want to be able to do is play my old game without deleting it. I've talked to so many different support staff and the basics of what they have told me is that my current fresh profile and my older profile are both linked to the same Google play email.

both of these accounts are linked to the same Google play email, [edit: email address removed]. I don't know why when I chose to continue my game it didn't load my old game it just forced me to start a new profile.
