Audio outside of SWGOH not working

Was also just about to post about this. Shuts down all audio sources outside the app. 

Pretty annoying. xD

I'm about to shelf the game until this is fixed. I've played everyday almost for 3+ years. Out of all the changes this is the thing that makes me want to shelf the game. 

Also a problem with sound on the Redmi 9 device

Same.  I definitely won't be able to play this game as much if I can't listen to my audiobooks while playing.  I've been wanting to quit, but hated the idea of losing all the time and money I have invested over the way too many years I've played this game.  But this issue is bad enough to finally make me want to quit.

Is this being looked into? I cannot play audiobooks from SoundCloud or an audiobook app. 

Is this still being looked into? Same issue with Xperia 1 ii.

Is this still being looked at? This cannot be a workout game without the ability to listen to podcasts & audiobooks. No other app has this problem. 

OS: Android 11 & 12 (apparent in both)

Device: Pixel 5
