Please try resetting your network settings and tell us if that resolves the issue for you.
Same Bug.
1. I was forced to update through the app.
2. Downloaded Update.
3. App Froze while loading in Game Content Updates.
4. Restarted App.
5. App crashes on Loading Screen.
6. Several tries to reopen the app. incl. restarting Phone and cache clearing. Keeps on crashing.
7. reinstalled app.– Same Problem, keeps on crashing on loading screen.
8. Clean reinstall with cache clearing and iphone restart. – Same Problem, keeps on crashing on loading screen.
9. Updated iOS from 10 to 11. – Same Problem, keeps on crashing on loading screen.
10. Clean reinstall of the app. – Same Problem, keeps on crashing on loading screen.
When I do a reinstall of the app, it goes past the loading screen and crashes while loading the in-Game Updates while first opening afterwards.
After it crashed on that it always keeps on crashing on the Cantina-Loading Screen.

Firmware: It doesnt seem to be a firmware related problem, since i had iOS 10 installed and after some app reinstallations I updated my Firmware to iOS 11.1.2 and the behaviour of the App didnt change.
EDIT: Fixed it. Resetting the Network Settings did the trick.
Still not nice to reset all my networks and passwords.
