So do you have any videos where this happens after they use a special first? Because in these situations, it appears as though you are always going first, and putting the three stacks right away.
Since specials start on 0 cooldown, when they use their basic, cooldowns are going to 1. Then they get another turn and they are available again. This seems WAI. The point of the confused stacks would seem to be to permanently AB them once their specials are already on cooldown.
- 7 years agoI appreciate your reply but I'm pretty sure it isn't working as intended. Remember, Darth Nihilus' Drain Force increases cooldowns by 1 as well. If the mechanics worked as you say and cooldowns start a zero, Darth Nihilus would not be able to increase your cooldowns before your first turn or if your specials haven't been used yet. We know for sure that Nihilus' drain force can prevent you from accessing your specials if say he's the first character that goes in battle. As written, there's no reason for C3PO's confuse to work differently.

But Nihilus increases cooldowns before that character's turn. So I suppose the question is if the cooldown decrease upon turn complete is a bugged interaction with Threepio, or if the effect was only meant to be applied to abilities already on cooldown (which is how I read it during the kit reveal, because otherwise you would need an ability blocker to get them to use their basic, which doesn't seem very self-contained). Still I will concede that this question is still on the table.
But even so, it seems the bug would be limited to this first turn interaction, until we see evidence that it also happens after abilities have been used.

This is a video that the OP posted in his bug summary. OP brings up a good point about Darth Nihilus's drain force. Either Drain Force needs to change or confuse isn't working as intended or its WAI. If this is working as intended then the only way to prevent someone from using their specials in their turn with 3 stacks of confuse is by increasing their cooldowns by 2 before they move which can ONLY be done via counters or assist. However, 2 stacks of confuse prevents counter and assists.
I don't think this is WAI at all
