Cannot login - Error 9.78

Question

Upon starting the app I got a fresh account login prompt. Clicked on, I already have an account and logged in with EA Connect. My account appears for selection but upon clicking on it, I get the message stating that error 9.78 has occurred and I need to restart the game. Upon restart, same thing again and this loop continues.

OS: Android 15

Device: Galaxy S22+

Same happened to me earlier this morning.

After some attempts, I disconnected from Google play (donno why it was connected in the first place), and only then was able to connect my EA account
