Change linked EA account

I had two different EA accounts and EA support merged them recently. However, this meant that the account originally linked to my SWGOH account doesn't exist anymore as it got merged into my main one. This prevents me from accessing the webstore and I assume eventually the PC client as I physically cannot log into that EA account anymore, and EA support say they cannot change the email associated with that now gone account.

EA support have said to talk to the in-game support but I've now had ~4 different in-game support agents cycle in and out of the chat asking me the same questions (and seemingly not read my responses) or telling me to talk to EA support, who send me back to them, etc.

Does anyone on this forum have any pointers as I can't seem to get a definitive answer? Much appreciated.
