Confused about promo codes

it seems like you have to buy something first before you can use promo codes, they are not for free, also the people that say you have to go to ea webstore are wrong, you have to go to the star wars galaxy of heroes website store

ALL THESE FAKE PROMO CODES, THERE IS NO CLEAR CUT LIST OF USABLE PROMO CODES. VADER, SAVAGE & DARTHMAUL ALL SAY THEY ARE EXPIRED, WHY????. ANY OTHERS I HAVE TRIED ALL SAY THEY ARE NOT VALID CODES. There are fake YouTube videos also with totally fake codes.  I am starting to think its fake. The makers of this game should like other games every few months offer something free. The game gets very boring otherwise for me.

How are you able to search for savage impress specifically I can't find any bundles for savage on the webstore 

Go to the website select the character you have the promo code for say “go to check out” and then put in the promo code in the box

click on the pack on the right bottom it says apply code
Put the code in then click apply after clock PayPal it will go to click here which will send you to the game and will be in your inbox. Just did one for the jedi temple gaurd the promo code is JEDITEMPLE
When you click PayPal it doesn't ask for info it just goes to click here

i see ones for anakin and vader are there any codes for them as well?
