Conquest Health Steal doesn't work

The health steal on Conquest doesn't work. I won't be able to get the end prize because even though I chose mainly the bottom level, it's so extremely hard. I have to redo many of them. I didn't have to do this years ago. I have 1.2 million GP but it's sometimes useless.
