The buttons above the abilities are normally passive (i.e. leader abilities), so I think it is reasonable to not realise this button did anything.

The rules of the battle did not mention any ability, just each 20 kills at the end of the battle = a star.

@strides85 I believe the rules did mention "End Battle" under granted abilities or modifiers. This button is the exact same ones as is used in Galactic Challenges whenever there is a bonus ability.
