how fast is your Hondo? you need above 300 if I remember correctly. The people in my guild said you need god tier mods and plus 300 speed. 

I have since moved my mods back to the other toons, but it was either just above or just below 300.

I was getting the first few moves constantly, just not applying any debuffs at all

The video I've watched (and in my own 'go back and try' attempts), I've noticed that I start with putting Ransom on Greedo, and then doing a basic. After I dodge, and acquire stacks... then I'm able to apply debuffs. If I try to apply debuffs on my 1st or 2nd turn, nothing happens. I hope that makes sense.

I'm also curious to see what your mods are. I'm surprised that you couldn't land Ransom on Greedo.

Yeah I get what you mean, but throughout all my trys, after a few moves, still couldn't land any debufs at all. 

As mentioned in a earlier comment, I've moved my mods back, but I followed a guide and had him high speed and protection, then tried another guide that said health primaries, still no debufs

you may need potency on hondo to get the ransom on him. May I see your mod set if you're willing?

This was on of the sets I tried running it on, unfortunately my mods as a whole aren't that good.

I have now continued to try this for a further (roughly) 30 trys, not one debuf again.

With 50(odd)percent potency, even factoring in absolutely appalling rng odds, this cannot be right, surely? 

Do I just wait to see if someone from swgoh see this or just deal that it's broke?

You need to reach 80K health. 

So health mods with health primaries.

I've included a video that I made for my guild. Unfortunately, I'm not talented enough to do voice over. Now, yes... I did take a couple of tries (I think 4-5 tries) to complete it, but this should help. I show mods first.

The steps to complete it...

1. Put Captive/Ransom on Greedo
2. Use your basic
3. If Gamo Guard taunts right away, you can almost hit the reset button (not always, but 8 times out of 10... just reset)
4. If Gamo Guard doesn't taunt, use the 2nd special to ability block.
5. You should then be working up to 20 stacks or so... when it comes time to either apply Captive/Ransom again or to use the 2nd special, ability block when you can. Prevent the Mob enforcer from tossing her bombs.

I'm more than happy to hop on discord to do walk throughs if it would help - but if you can reach the stats seen in my video, that will put you on the right track. I don't even have super speed on Hondo. Some will say that he must have 290 speed or whatever, but I didn't have that.
