I generally agree with @Commander_Thrawn . While I'm glad EA tried to make good, the compensation they offered is embarrassingly bad. Basically, the takeaway is that they place a value on my time spent on the game and potential rewards I missed out on, at about $2 USD per day. A better compensation would've been some of the potential Conquest rewards we all missed out on - Talicos shards, datacron materials, etc. Or something around double what we were given would've felt better and fairer.
Unfortunately, this came across more like being tipped a dollar for a $100 USD meal. It's an acknowledgment, but an incredibly insulting and tone-deaf one.
As I've said before, I know you're not the one who decides what the compensation should be. You're the guy with the unpleasant job of presenting the bad news on behalf of your bosses and taking the heat for them. And I suspect your personal sentiments are in alignment with ours, although you can't and should never admit to that in a public forum.
So the message above was not directed at you. If you are able or there is an opportune moment to do so, please relay these sentiments and the following question o your EA Overlords. I know we're not getting anything else and that they probably don't give a crap about us. It would make me feel a little better believing they actually heard and possibly even thought about this question:
Would it really have hurt you, EA, or the all-important bottom line to have actually put a little thought into and/or be a wee bit more generous to compensate loyal, paying players with a reasonable and legitimate grievance?
