I have the exact same problem.
The in-game support suggested creating a new account as a solution...
It seems several of us have been experiencing this issue in recent days.

After 6 days of fighting, I finally got an answer regarding the technical problem with error 9.
Nobody can help you mateTo summarize:
- - EA forces us to log in using their account.
- - You can PERMANENTLY overwrite your game data if you ever click "Login" instead of "Import Account" when logging in.
- - NO warning message informs you that you are overwriting your account.
- - EA support says they don't have the capacity to solve the problem.
- - In-game support says they don't have the capacity to solve the problem.
Screw you EA, screw you CG.
