extremely low fps back and forth throughout the game

i am experiencing extremely low fps while in the game it can start ok, then randomly drop to a very low value, still playable but feels very bad then it can also randomly go back to normal values b...

This is seriously annoying because when the game operates at a very low fps, navigating in menus and in the game in general takes longer.

it has been like that for at least 2-3 months, probably something delivered that caused this
