Facebook connect says there is no account associated

Hi there, my old phone broke so I had to get a new one. My friend gave me his account and I've been playing it as a guest signing into the Facebook connect.  When I got my new phone,  I didn't have a chance to do the old device, new device switch and now when I try signing in, It says there isnt an account associated with the Facebook login.  I'm on an android phone.  I've read all the help articles and talked to a customer support that couldn't help.
