Freezing / Crashing / Resets on older iOS devices

    Hey there, everyone!

    I really appreciate everyone reaching out here in the past week or so. With the recent update that dropped Legacy iOS devices on September 9th, it means that other devices - many that are listed here - are now minimum-spec devices. By nature of the game having higher system and hardware requirements, there may be additional stress on older hardware, such as the iPhone 5 series, iPad (4th Gen) and other iOS devices of that generation.

    There are some things you can do to mitigate problems with freezing or crashing:

    • Close all background apps besides SWGOH.
    • Fully shut down your device for a minute or two before restarting it.
    • Turn off some background services, such as Bluetooth or location services, while playing.

Hi!

I'm having trouble fully enjoying this game on my iPhone6 for the past couple of months, because of the increasing amount of game crashes, which especially occur in TBs (I experienced about 5 crashes during missions in the latest Geonosian TB) as wenn as TW (had 2 crashes during battles today) and sometimes even in Grand Arena, which is particularly annoying since it usually costs me the win.

I am part of the Rebel Force Guild Alliance, which is a community of 12 guilds with several 100 active players, lots of whom have been experiencing the same problems on their iPhone6 device in the past weeks and months.

So there's obviously an issue here, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be addressed at all to my knowledge. I am aware that an iPhone 6 may not be the current state-of-the-art mobile device, yet it certainly isn't antiquarian. However if this App can not be run properly on this device, you should let your customers know ASAP. I've been spending a decent amount of time and money on your game in the past years and I'd like to continue to do that. I'm also not asking for any compensation either, though these constant crashes have cause me quite a few losses in GA and lots of points and therfor in-game-rewards in TB as well as TW.

All I'd like you to do is to either address and actually fix these problems in the near future, or let iPhone 6 users know that they can't run this app properly on their device any more.

Same here I’m on it for 10-15 minutes at a time before it crashes. I love this game and spent a lot of money. I can’t even play territory wars without  the cleaner crashing.
