What type of issue do you have? Gameplay
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Summarize your bug Was in div 5 based on up when I signed up and still am, but it's promoted me to div 4. Note: I dropped about 30k of mods between when gac launched (said div 4 then), and when i hit join. Bug is obviously related to gp based on launch time and not on join time.

Divisions are assigned to players the second a GAC tournament launches, not when you press join or at the end of player lock. This is working as intended. In this case the game has placed you in the correct division, as your GP was over the bracket for division 4 at launch.
Removing mods would not allow you to drop a division once the tournament becomes available in game. If you wish to remain in lower brackets you need to lower your GP before the tournament starts.
