GAC Matchmaking question

Summarize your bug Can someone tell me how matchmaking in GA works and what CG have in mind making it (fairness, ....) ?
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Went broad about my characters / ships collection. Didn't farm too much mods because it is expensive.

I'm often facing players with better mods or players who don't care about playing it.

Yeah I'm loosing a lot (maybe because a I made some bad moves or/and using bad strategy), but this game involve a lot of RNG and to remove this part, you have to farm mods.

So I would like to know how the matchmaking works actually, I read somewere that the top 80 GP characters is used for the matchmaking so:
- is it only about GP ?
- no fairness about mods ?
- no fairness about win / lose ratio ?
- Does Life time GA score have a purpose for matchmaking? Or is it only for show off?
- Is there anything planned to improve matchmaking ?

Sorry if it seems like I'm ranting but as a customer I feel more and more uneasy about this game and would like some real answers.

Hi @wharp95 and thank you for the questions.

As @ChristophIV said, we are unable to provide you with the exact formula or all criteria of the matchmaking algorithm. What we can say, is that GP is one of many factors considered.

Regarding your question of mods, they are a highly important part of the game but won't be the sole factor for winning or losing a battle. That mostly depends on the team composition, strategy, and execution of the battle, especially in Grand Arena.

@wharp95 Developers will never reveal the whole matchmaking formula (this has come up in multiple Q&As). However, if you wish to have a discussion with other players about it, you should make a post over at the official forums https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/ as this is the bugs and issues forum.

@ChristophIVhey, thanks you for your reply, but I don't ask for the exact formulae and I don't expect it neither but at least which stats are used.
But without knowing what stats are used how to know if there is a bug or not ?

It's like having a car accident and trying to know what happened. It can be the driver fault, the car, the road or anything else and when asking the car constructor, it says to you "There was no issue with the car and you don't need to know why".
It is a bit exaggerated, but well it is kinda true.

I can understand that you can not provide any formula for the matchmaking algorithm.
I can understand closing a post that appear to be going out of control for moderation purpose.

But I can not accept this as answer, I feel salty about someone closing this post as an accepted answer with open questions,
It is a shame that there is no real explanation how this part of the game works.

My question about mods might not be understood, what I was asking is if it was taken into account for the matchmaking, but like you said, you can not reveal that neither I guess, yeah yeah mods have GP, but this is stupid (sorry, it is my own opinion).

There is still open question in this post like the life time GA score, I would like to think it should be one of the most important stat for the matchmaking as for an hidden win / lose ratio stats but I guess you are not allowed to answer that neither.

And for the last question, guess you are not allowed to answer it neither.

Sorry if the marking a thread as resolved left the impression of closing it. As you saw, you can still respond to the thread.

As for your remaining questions, the stats of all your equipped mods are only partially factored into the matchmaking. As for your lifetime score in Grand Arena, that is not part of the matchmaking, as far as we know.
