If this is intended behavior than I expect CG to confirm it, otherwise it sure seems like a bug.
There is plenty of evidence of this bug as well that many (including me) can provide if necessary. Adding just two examples when the drop is suspiciously high.
By my own calculations with data provided by my guild after one day of the chase (the energy is rounded to nearest 100):
NO GL ticket farm:
Me: 1800 energy -> 43 shards
Player 2: 1400 energy -> 45 shards
Player 3: 1800 energy -> 43 shards
WITH GL ticket farm:
Player 4: 1800 energy -> 108 shards
Player 5: 2300 energy -> 152 shards
Player 6: 1200 energy -> 91 shards

I have spent $50 on the Marauder ship packs and am still 60 shards behind guildmates farming GL's
I will be getting a refund for this

Several people in my shard have 7* Marauder that they were able to accomplish due to GL farming double drops. I am only halfway there with refreshes up to 400 crystals per day and the purchase of the $20 pack. Why should I be punished for already having all GLs except Leia? Newer players are getting a distinct advantage over seasoned players due to the release of the lightspeed bundles.
It's the last day of the chase, could we perhaps at least get some acknowledgment from CG here?
