Game freezing bug on android

I'm seeing the same issue, steps to recreate are:

1. open SWGOH
2. select collection
3. select favourited character (Hoth rebel scout)
4. Select incomplete gear
5. Select find <= this point the game crashes

Also

1. open SWGOH
2. Select Galactic battles
3. Select Conquest  <= this point the game crashe

This is on a samsung galaxy S8 in the UK

A member of the guild advised me that on Bluestacks 5 and the pie (beta) instance, the game runs without freezing. I hope CG can fix the bug soon so I can play on my phone again.

Same problem for over 2 weeks now! Latest update haven't done anything about it. ☹️

Not on emulator - on Android 7.0. It simply gets laggy and freezes if left idle or just after 10-15-ish minutes of battling.

Also every time I bring the game down and back up Goggle play greets me with it's annoying user window. Must be disharmony between the Play Store and Google Play application...maybe!!! Would be nice to check that out as well! Maybe it's a Play Store / Goggle Play related problem!

I think, I have found the problem's source. I use Google Play, and my phone updated that as well.

I was investigating SWgoH's lagging and freezing up for me as well, and when I turned off this app's one setting called "Automatic logging into supported games..." (Sorry, I have a Hungarian version, so it's something like that.) the freezes completely stopped!!! The lagging are less frequent as well, tho, still remaining, but not like after 5 minutes of play, but like 30 mins-1 hourly, which is much more tolerable.

If you use the same app, just turn that setting off, and hopefully your gaming experience will once again turn better! I sure hope, this was the cause of the problem, and that I managed to nail the source of the problem...for CG too! Seems like this software tries to log into games (as the setting/feature says it tries to help with), but multiple play store accounts causing problems with it, with trying to force both (or more) account into the game. Strangely, other games have no problems, so it's still a problem on both this app, as well as from CG's part too!!!

Please try this method and tell us, if things got better! I sure hope so!!! May the (Dark Side of the) Force be with You all! >:3

@EA_UltraSlideAny chance this memory leak bug will get fixed anytime soon? I play two accounts on my LG X Charge and both accounts will freeze up after a few minutes of playing. Doesn't matter what I'm doing in game. I don't think it's an issue with my device because I've seen people with all sorts of different android devices have this problem. Not sure what's causing it but all I know is that it started happening after the Nov 17th update
