Google Play Points Issue
I'm not able to use my Google Play Points on the Small Galactic Advancement Kit or the Large one anymore. A few weeks ago it told me "You'll need to open the game before you can get it again". Now I'm a daily player so I've been in the game a ton since then but still no luck. Anyone able to provide any help? Thanks in advance!
- @DarthMidas230671 This is why I think you're right; this has happened before, but reinstalling generally fixed the issue. You and several other people I have talked to have tried literally everything - they can buy stuff straight from the in-game store, they can convert their google play points to money to buy stuff in-game - there's just been a TON of people who bought one more small or large enhancement kit on google play after the Dash Rendar update, and every time they've tried getting a kit after that first successful one post-update, they[ve been getting the same error message again and again.
I hate to say this, but I'm worried it's a purely monetary thing. I keep seeing the large enhancement kit in the in-game store - they added a couple shards, but it's got same name and basically the exact same stuff as the large enhancement kit. Except it costs $20. Using play points and getting the same thing in google play is only 750 points, so basically they sneakily updated the price on the large enhancement kit from $7.50 to $20. I've also only seen the larger, much more expensive kit - I haven't seen the small enhancement kit in-game.
Maybe it's just a paranoid theory - I sure hope it is - but virtually every online game with a large player base eventually becomes a cash cow for the owners'creators, and since they've been doing this type of stuff for a long time now *cough* conquest pass *cough cough* sorry I must be getting sick. But at least with for example the conquest changes, it actually made it playable for me. I got the Hyperdrive Bundle and that's about it, so I've basically been f2p, and after all this time I've only got 10-12 heroes at g12, and one team (First Order) that has all their skills, including their zSkills, and all their mods, max level. I'm finally CLOSE to getting my Kylo Ren (unmasked) to g13, heh.
But I just try to take the good and ignore the bad, since I know my complaining won't change the free trade business model; if they ever did something that made me THAT mad, I'd just stop playing, but it seems from reading the bug report and technical issues borders for a few months now that at least 2/3, and probably quite a few more, of the issues people experience are glitches, etc.
Still, I hope this gets worked out for y'all - I have done everything I can in terms of asking leading questions and notifying staff members along with links to the threads in question several times. I'm afraid that they are essentially powerless, too - the most they could do is inform the tech side of the company, and from what I recall from working in tech, they're just as likely to assume that, even with this many people having the exact same issue, that it is somehow the user's fault.
But like I said, positive attitude - at least you can still convert play points to cash and buy stuff (including the way more expensive large enhancement kit) in the store in-game, heh.
