Under Commander Luke Skywalker's leadership, rebels gain 5% turn meter for every resisted debuff.  The team as specified above will create an infinite loop against teams that resist debuffs automatically (like Padme led teams) and toppled raid bosses with stacking tenacity (Traya in phase 3).  For the following example, Commander Luke Skywalker will receive the second Guard buff from Chewbacca, and we'll start everyone at 100% TM; if the starting character gets back to 100% TM at the end then we have created an infinite loop.  We'll go against a toppled Traya and use basics only.

Han shoots first with his basic (his specials will put him at 100% and 50% tm respectively), and Chewbacca and Threepio&Chewie ("Chewpio") assist.  Since they're all basic attacks, C3-PO will allow the characters to apply expose.  Han fails to apply 2 exposes, Chewbacca fails to apply 1 expose, and Chewpio fails to apply 1 expose and 1 Evasion Down: this is a total of 25% turn meter for all rebel allies.

Chewbacca will use his basic which gives 1 resisted debuff.  Chewpio assists and fails to apply 1 expose and 1 evasion down, adding 15% to a total of 40% turn meter.

CLS will use his basic, so speed down, defense down, and expose get resisted.  Chewbacca and Chewpio assist for 3 more resisted debuffs, adding 30% to a total of 70% turn meter.

C3-PO uses his basic, and Confuse and expose get resisted.  Chewpio assists for 2 more resisted debuffs, adding 20% for a total of 90% turn meter.

Chewpio uses his basic, getting the last 2 debuffs to get the last 10% turn meter to Han back to 100% and the cycle can begin again.

This pattern can also be replicated by the AI in squad arena against a Padme team, even though the AI doesn't use Basics Only.  This is due to Luke's call to action (free 15% turn meter for Chewbacca's and Chewpio's assists), Han's specials (which either give Han a free turn or 50% turn meter, both with the normal assists), C3-PO's special which calls everyone to assist for a massive 60% TM boost (2x Han, 4x Chewpio, 3x CLS, 2x C3-PO, 1x Chewie), and Translation which will reduce the cooldown of these high TM gaining abilities.

  • @crzydroid It's not infinite, Padme teams do still gain TM and take turns to drop Prot Up.

Most of the TM gain is coming from 3PO's unique which adds expose on rebel's basic, with all the assists it generates a lot of TM.

CLS handily takes care of Padme with Chewpio on the team. I think everything here seems to be WAI.

Tenacity Down can't be resisted, both Chewie and CLS apply it, so you shouldn't count tm gain for that. Tenacity down won't help the other debuffs with Padme, but that teams increased tenacity is only with protection up. So it's going to come down to the assists vs. damage as to whether that's lost. If CLS puts buff immunity on before they gain protection up, then that person is not resisting. In any case, if you think they are not losing protection up due to the assists, then your best hope is a time out, just like if you ran this team against a lone Nest. This is WAI and makes Rebels a bad choice for Padme.

As for p3 Traya, you're probably looking at the second topple before she resists that much, and hopefully your team all survived until then, but you had better have putbin a burner team to eat isolate. But even so, Anakin + Nightsisters can solo p3 due to tm loop, and now SLKR can solo the whole raid because why not, so I doubt the devs care much at this point.

But in either case, nevermind this manufactured situation you have where the whole team starts at 100% tm. You can certainly have them all go first on this team due to the initial tm gain from Han's opener--this is how CLS teams beat Revan--but they don't all end up at 100% after that. Remember that Padme needs the protection up before they can resist, and that's not going to happen until at least the first assist. So yeah, maybe without crits they can't override the protection up (60% from the two assists less Chewie's bonus damage), but Han's initial expose went through (so actually down to 40% protection up now), and tenacity down still should go through, so that's 10% tm down from your calculations.

  • @crzydroidI never counted any TM gain from tenacity down. This is a complicated team and I started them all at 100% to simplify it and if the character that starts the cycle reaching 100% TM by the time the last character goes, that will have created a loop.

@EnigmaPotatoesThanks for the video. I agree that all the abilities are coded correctly and it's WAI, but it's not designed correctly as it goes counter to the devs position that they don't want infinite TM loops (see CG_TopHat's post here: https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/195609/update-on-the-finn-threepio-raid-interaction-resulting-finn-modifications). And while the particular move order that you used didn't create an infinite loop: The only turn that they got was from JKA and Padme's bonus turn. At 1:51 you break your TM loop by using 3PO basic instead of OMG!, which is where they start gaining TM again.  Notice that Ahsoka and the enemy 3PO did not even get to full TM once in the whole 3 minute long match, and if you prioritized your TM gaining moves you could easily have frozen TM for the entire Padme team.
