This workaround is no longer required after we've implemented a permanent fix.

    If you are on iOS and experiencing a persistent crash on startup, please do the following:

      1. On your iOS Device, go to Settings > General > About.
      2. Tap the first line, which shows the name of your device.
      3. Rename your device and be sure to only use English alphanumeric characters in the device name (e.g., myiPhone2, Chewbacca’s iPhone, etc.)
      4. Finally, tap Done.

    This doesn't work!

    This is taking the Mick a bit now...Have I to assume that we're also missing out on all these rewards people are talking about?

    I'm not very happy... plugged so much time and effort into this game just to be fobbed off and told to reinstall a game that "IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR DEVICE!"

    Hurry up please ea... not good enough!

    This instruction for Samsung is not work.

    I try 

    1) Clear Google Play store data -> Reboot

    2) Change screen resolution -> Clear Google Play store data -> Reboot

    Display Resolution for S8, S8+, S8active:
    2960 x 1440
    2220 x 1080
    1480 x 720

    Display Resolution for S7, S7edge:
    1440 x 2560
    1080 x 1920
    720 x 1280

     

    3) System on my phone is up to date.

    ------------------------------------

    "Workaround steps" is install .apk bypass Google Play.

    But, it is not good way...

    P.S. FYI
    Google keeps information about the phone model not in the phone itself, but on the server.
    When viewing in a browser on a desktop computer (OS: Windows), the same message for this phone model (for other models - available).

    Update.

    I solve problem for my phone S8.

    1) Set screen resolution to maximum 2960 x 1440.

    2) Delete data from Play Market

    3) Delete Play Market updates.

    4) Exit from Google account.

    5) Reboot

    6) Enter to account.

    7) Start PM and accept agreements.

    8) find SWGOH.

    9) Install it! (first attempt was failed, any i try again. Second attempt is completed successfully).

    Thx this has been the only thing that has helped me play again. This problem happened at the worse possible time ever during the game.

    Resetting network settings in iOS can cause problems. All your WiFipasswords disappear, VPN settings disappear and some carriers use cell traffic settings that also disappear.

    I am not going to go through that kind of trouble because of the game.

    Capital Games caused the problem, it's up to them to solve it, or I quit the game.

    I was hoping I’d still have the rewards like the 2 Anniversary shards when I was able to log back in after the bug, what happened?

    I am IOS user and I can't play the game... I receive a message saying that a new client is available, i select that and then show the inicial screen saying "checking updates". Doesn't how much I wait for, The game ever show the same screen. Gow can I resolve that?
