iPhone 17 Pro Max - IOS 26.0.1 - Random lockups

I used to have this issue on my old iPhone but it still happens on my new phone.  I have the new iPhone 17 Pro Max on the most recent IOS version. When I am on a call the game loads fine and I can move around the main screen.  However, as soon as I start clicking on things, the game locks up randomly. For example, I can enter Guild Battles and the map comes up but then I can't click on anything and I have to restart the game. Sometimes I can click on a planet but then the game locks up.

This never happens when I am not on a call. Only when I am on a call.
