I have noticed this too. It’s specifically when the first instance of damage kills the target; the second instance never occurs.

Do you ever see it do damage to the same target twice? The skill doesn't say "do damage to ANOTHER random enemy", so I would assume that it could deal damage to the same target twice.

In this case, if the first damage kills the original target, the second damge (if aimed at the same enemy) would not register.

Same thing as with Magmatroopers basic for example.

At 0:58 you can see how the first basic of Magmatrooper is also hitting the side minion and the next basic attack is double damaging Nihilus.

I tested Jango Fett's "Shrapnel Blast" and @GladOS-013 is correct. Sometimes, the second damage lands on a different enemy when the first enemy gets defeated by the first damage. But if both rolls of damage go to the first enemy, and that enemy is defeated by the first damage, then the second damage doesn't land on anyone else.

Every time it defeats an enemy there is not a second damage dealt. I find it hard to believe when defeating target enemy the random second damage is 100% on the defeated enemy.

The description doesn’t say if enemy is defeated there will not be second danage.
