Hi @Player_lfs0ic3d and thank you for the report.

As @stud3099 correctly stated, if it was Kylo Ren fighting under Kylo Ren Unmasked's lead (zetaed), he would recover 5% health and 5% Protection every time he gained a status effect. Additionally every time he takes damage he gains 50% Defense for 1 turn from his unique "Unstoppable". Additionally, he takes reduced damage from Percent Health Damage effects (DOTs).

On a side note: Enfys Nest is another character which can withstand for quite some time against multiple enemies if not attacked with the right tactic, leading to a possible Draw.

The 50% defense is stacking (infinitely), despite the tooltip not describing it as a stacking defense.

In this situation with your team, I would recommend stunning via Palpatine, then using basic attacks to let him take a turn, thus resetting his defense back to normal. If you have a Shock debuff, that will prevent his gaining health or protection via the KRU leadership.
