There are several people (including me) reporting issues to access the android accounts today. No feedback so far and a TB is on going. 

Not able to get access to my account, not even after cleaning cache, reinstalling app or even using android emulator (Bluestacks) on pc. 

Always getting the new account tutorial and no option to connect to real account. Using Google play to start app also didn't solve it.

 Feedback and quick resolution needed.

Something to try -Workaround:

  1. Set your Phones DATE to 11th July or earlyer,
  1. Restart the game until the connect button works or you can login via google,
  1. Reset your DATE to the correct one,
  1. Start the game and Login with google or use the Connect button
