Summarize your bug Mother Talzin Plaguebearer Zeta issue - that is her Passive ability (not her lead) - is not working properly when enough damage is applied to kill a character.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Any decent Nightsister team with Talzin -- I had her as lead - but I don't think that would affect her passive zeta. It'll happen in any fight - but you can just choose a low level DS fight to ensure it doesn't work.

Mother Talzin's unique Plaguebearer's Zeta does not provide TM gain when the enemy is killed from over 50% HP. I would think that a character being killed from damage would ALSO mean that the character was brought to less then 50% hp.  This is the case in every fight, whether PVP or PVE.  This is particularly problematic as the usual character to go with Mother Talzin is Asajj Ventress and when Asajj is zeta'd it's fairly easy to kill even a top level G12 Toon like Raid Han Solo or Chirrut with one hit.  On the other side, she is also not gaining TM when the Nighsister Zombie is killed from a large amount of damage (most notably from CLS or Thrawn dealing huge damage).

I can co-op this as it's the exact same issues that Royal Guard faces - that is, if an ally is killed from a large amount of damage - he does not auto taunt.  Same thing as above - this happens whether in PVP or PVE.  You can see it when the other player uses Royal guard and you kill an ally from more then 50% health - RG will not taunt.

The difference is, of course, Royal guard is an older and easily acquired character.  Mother Talzin is a premium character and it requires a semi-difficult to acquire Zeta to have the ability - it should work when damage is dealt and the toon dies..  I truly believe Mother Talzin's passive zeta ability was to give her a boost when/if the pre-taunting NS Zombie gets killed early.

Note: I don't think too many people have done the double Zeta of Mother Talzin and so it's unlikely many haven't had the chance to even see the bug take place.

Thank you for reading and I appreciate you guys/gals looking into it, thanks!

  • Hi @BaldurCPH and thank you for the question.

We've checked this with the team and it is working as intended. I can't go into many details here, but rest assured that the team carefully balanced the Nightsisters, especially under Asajj or Mother Talzin lead to make them not too powerful.

If you would like to have it changed, feel free to post it in the official forum (LINK) to draw more attention to the topic and get support from other players.

  • I have seen it. Just don't think it us a bug. IMO if they wanted it to trigger when dropping below 50% and/or on death they would have made it like JKA unique.
Only the Dev's have the true answer of course.
  • It'd make it an aweful Zeta that way.  You deal 1999 damage to a 2000 HP toon and the ability goes off... you do 2000 damage and it doesn't?  Also, the Nightsister Kit is built around death and dying... it doesn't fit the composition that it wouldn't work.

I'm also pretty sure the way I expected it to work was in the podcast - with a dev (Top hat?) I'll need to get the time stamp for it and post it.

    Has this been fixed yet?

Most definitely 0 health or lower (death) is below 50% health in any mathematical and/or legal sense.

Talzin should get 35% TM every time Zombie dies, and when an ally dies after called to assist (at 50% health), and of course when enemies dies.

I thought that was the whole point with the zeta - especially synergy with zeta lead and zombie unique.

I have been farming zeta to get this zeta an stumbled upon this issue.

It’s a poor ZETA ability if health has to be in the exact sweetspot below 50% (not precise 50%) and above 0. That requires a pure accidental and random turn of events while you can’t control the damage (where above 0 could be better than death in game), and not applicable for strategic manoeuvres.

Better to adjust the zeta so that it applies to only NS below 50% (death included) and not enemies. That would make sense as well.

Currently it’s just a huge bug!

    Thanks!

I can’t state whether NS is TOO powerful while I haven’t got it yet, but I would ESTIMATE that the zeta won’t make NS viable in Arena nonetheless (even with the full impact with death triggering the ability) due to way too powerful Empire/Sith teams swarming the shard, where underpowered (10-20K below) can wipe out NS without NS haven got one turn.

BUT you should change the description - if death won’t trigger the ability (but works as INTENDED) the description is faulty. Maybe “When any unit falls below 50% health and is alive, Talzin gains 35% Turn Meter”. That would reflect the reported bug.

When deciding on the zeta I was SURE that Zombie death and revive-n-death (Talzin lead zeta) would trigger the ability.
  • Additional: Jedi Knight Anakin unique gains 60% TM (read: Almost twice the gain of Talzin) + additional 75% dmg. on next turn (death included) and thats NOT even zeta but lvl 72, so thats why I would expect a zeta will be meaner than reported here.

Oh.  Yes.  Thank you BOTH for bringing this back up and reminding me, yet again, of the waste of my zeta on Talzin.  Much appreciated.

@EA_HighCommand do you know what WOULD be AWFULLY dandy?  I mean this.  If someone would actually State, with words, in the descriptor how the zeta really worked.  I mean... it's been since Halloween of course, so, damage done.  Congrats.  But it'd be nod in the right direction to actually state how this works for people considering where to spend resources.  Simple things all around would reduce frustration in the game... but of course, frustration = $$ - wasn't that the jist of the recent EA shareholder meeting?

Well - EA has been the most frustrating game company to have come around in recent years- SW Battlefront 2 and SW:GOH WILL be the last games I ever play with an EA title in them.  Sad because Anthem looks hot - but, after so many EA issues... I already know how the actual game experience is going to end up.
