This is an issue that I ran into today (July 31st 2024) where now when I have the game open my music will no longer play. It will be paused as soon as I tap on the app icon on my Home Screen. It pauses both Apple Music and Spotify. As someone who listens to music 24/7 and loves certain songs while I do gac I would love for whatever was implemented that made this happen to please go away. Thank you
Come on CG, this should be a simple hotfix. Playing background audio has been possible in SWGOH for years, and is possible in nearly every mobile application. This is a huge QOL issue for many people and as others have said we are currently in a phase where players are just starting conquest and tb, and do not want to be forced to deal with this for hours. Whatever audio changes you guys made in the recent update need to be reverted. Then go back and try to implement these changes without breaking background audio! Most players do not listen to the SWGOH music so allowing background audio is a much bigger priority.
Any updates? This issue is more annoying than any bug I’ve experienced in my 8 years of playing this game.

Got the same issue here and it appears to be linked to my PC client settings in conflict with my cell settings.
Once again, a month later, still not fixed. No one wants to go to this site, and then some other site for some reason, to track the issue.
Only way I’ve found to sort the problem is that as long as you wear headphones you can press play on them once on the app and that seems to work for me. Still incredibly annoying though.
