No rewards for Galactic Challenges and how to prevent the bug

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Summarize your bug Didn't receive rewards for completing tiers 1 and 7 for 'the first time complete' in today's Galactic Challenges event. I have had the same issue in previous two Galactic Challenges (Galactic Republic and Empire), but I don't know in which tiers.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? - Start a fight in a never before completed tier of Galactic Challenges - fail it or make 'Retreat' from the fight - at this point notice that rewards for 1st time completion (called '1x Claim') are missing in the 'Feats' section of this tier - complete this tier and notice that you didn't receive the rewards.

First - I have an ongoing ticket in ea.help.com section (ticket number #66597477), but guys there haven't helped me yet, because I don't know in which tiers of the 1st and 2nd GC events I didn't receive the rewards.
Today I have found the excect repro steps for the bug and wanted to share it with the community how to prevent it from happening. Posted in the General forum but got moderated and noticed to post here so I do so:
TLDR: To prevent bug from happening complete a Tier in your first try.
So I have investigated the bug, and it turned out that in 2 different tiers I have cancelled the fight and I didn't receive the rewards there. In other 2 tiers I have completed them on first try and I received rewards.
Also - there is visualisation of this bug in the UI - if you retreat from the fight the 'first time' rewards disappear from the rewards screen.
There is concept in the community that being rewarded for 2 feats in the same fight causes the bug, but I think it is not

This does not appear to be the case as we have had reports where feats were completed on the first try where rewards were also not received.
This has been flagged as a bug to the team.
