Not getting push notifications

A few years ago after a game update, I stopped receiving push notifications, the only way to receive them was to have the game open/running, then they would popup.

I was on an LG V35 running android 9, so I assumed it was due to my old version. In the app settings, I had all notifications enabled and unrestricted battery usage toggled. I recently upgraded to an Edge+ 2022 running Android 13, and I am still experiencing this issue with all permissions and notifications turned on under the app's settings. 

Has anyone experienced this or have a way to restore push notifications?

    Did you disable them in the game as well by any chance?

    Push notifications are enabled in game as well.

    I've spoken to a number of android users with this same issue. Many newer players didn't even know this game had push notifications because they have never seen them.

    I wasn't expecting a fix, as this is obviously a coding issue on the client side. I'm assuming this can be added to the list of bugs that CG is looking into? It's a common and long lasting issue amongst players that hasn't been addressed for a couple years now.
