Not sure how many times this is needed, but I downloaded the update, hit update a bunch of times, uninstalled it, downloaded and installed it, updated it, and it keeps doing this.
I have noticed when I have weird issues like this I need to kill EABackgroundService.exe in task manager and then start the EA app again. Rebooting also tends to fix the issue as well.
So, for whatever reason, after 3 closeouts of the EA app itself, it finally took care of the game needing to be updated. Not sure what's up w/ that.

Yeah, I think the fact that it likes to store down in the tray means it doesn't refresh correctly. Correctly quitting/exiting the app and making sure the tray icon is gone is the way.
