It actually IS a loop though--user is gaining NO tm. When JML hits back, Savage gains 30% tm, then Cal assists and he gains another 30%. Then Savage's turn ends, and since the other two Sith are debuffed, he then gains enough tm to push well over 100%. The other Sith are only taking turns because they also get bonus tm when Savage is hit. Still, there is no possibility for that to end the loop, since DRevan lead means those two Sith will always have enough debuffs to push Savage over 100%. So it is a loop, and user never gains tm.
Not saying the mechanics aren't working as intended for this particular scenario, but it's wrong to say the result is not a loop and the user is just gaining tm slowly. They are in fact, gaining 0.
Edit: Yes, there is ONE place where user gains tm--it is when Cal's assist misses Savage. Therefore Savage is only gaining 80% tm (one hit + debuffs), which allows everyone to gain tm. JML doesn't gain a whole lot because Revan had enough tm to go first, and then JML's counter attack to that attack pushed Savage back over 100%. But it is otherwise a loop. User's JML has over twice the speed of opponent's Savage, so if Savage were regularly getting less than 100% tm, user would've gained steady visible tm and eventually outpaced him within the course of this video.
So watching this on computer instead of my phone, I did notice something else. Savage does not appear to be dispelling Ferocity from an ally at the end of his turn. I was trying to look through swgoh.gg mechanics, and it doesn't look like Ferocity is listed as one of the debuffs to dispel. Doesn't mean I didn't miss something, but in the video, it does not appear to be dispelling anything.
It occurs to me that Savage will always gain too much tm under Drevan lead if this is a bug. If Savage was properly dispelling debuffs from allies, after two turns he might have cleared both, and allowed the loop to be broken by user's JML. So in that case, this issue is not WAI. The infinite loop bug is because of Savage not appropriately dispelling Ferocity.

Really interesting analysis. Thank you.
They said WAI so I guess we go with that, but it does seem odd for there to be an intended scenario where there is no actual move for the final four minutes of a battle and no possible victor.- crzydroid2 years agoHero (Retired)
If there's no more movement on this post from EA, I would at least repost as "Savage not clearing Ferocity from Sith allies," because that does seem like a bug. In this case, it's directly contributing to an infinite loop scenario.
