Rancor Raid "Connection Error" Bug

I should add that I ran HAAT a couple times with C3PO when I first unlocked him and this never happened until last week.  I don't understand what could have changed.

Sigh @tvsfrink! I know your pain so well. This has been happening to me for more than two months now. There is no magical formula to fix our problem that we can conjure. It really is out of our hands. I hate feeling powerless. The bug must be mutating and expanding. Maybe it's a virus. Who knows.

@mcdapper2016 is it possible to make a note of the date and approximate time the next time this issue occurs? That way I can check your account for related errors.

I've tried to reproduce using the teams mentioned here, but I was unable to. 

I had the same issue with "Connection Error" at the end of a long raid run, but for me it was because of my connection, so after I switched to Wi-Fi it sent the raid results correctly.

However, this doesn't seem to be the case here.

More examples with the following information from anyone else experiencing this issue would be appreciated:

Thank you for the response @CG_MindTricks! I really appreciate it. Ay, this has happened to me in the Heroic AAT Raid the last 7 or 8 times I have participated. The result is automatic. I have tried the run with Wi-Fi which has been fine of course until the very end when the raid is defeated, the cut scene happens, and ta-da, "Connection Error." I have run it on the mobile network as well. The result is always the same. The interesting thing is that it never used to happen. It started happening more than two months ago when I was using the team of zRey (Jedi Training), zBB-8, Rey (Scavenger), zzR2-D2, and Resistance Trooper. I was able to make it through normally half of Phase 3 and then I would solo Phase 4 and it started to happen. 

The current team I use is zFinn, C-3PO, zRaid Han Solo, zCommander Luke Skywalker, and zBB-8. I was able to defeat the entire raid last night (1/7/19) from start to finish with that team for the first time ever. And, as always, I got to the end, and got the "Connection Error" message. I toggled between Wi-Fi and the mobile network HOPING the score would transmit. I even turned on and off Airplane mode twice. After about 20 minutes, I gave up and force closed the game. That is also automatic because that is the only way I can get back into the game. To my utter shock and disbelief, when got back in, I checked the leaderboard, my score had somehow posted. That was the first time in more than two months I have been able to post a score.

A question for you: When you get "Connection Error" at the end of a raid and you toggle between Wi-Fi and the mobile network, does it ever say "Victory" as it should? That has NEVER happened for me in the time frame mentioned above. I play almost exclusively on Wi-Fi.

I have a Heroic Rancor Raid tonight at 8:00 PM MST. I can try and cause the error to happen again with the team of zFinn, C-3PO, zRaid Han Solo, zCommander Luke Skywalker, and zBB-8 and get less rewards.

I can also run the team that has never had the error without "Victory" registering with Grand Admiral Thrawn, zCommander Luke Skywalker, Tie Fighter Pilot, zRaid Han Solo, and R2-D2 and get more rewards. 

What do you want me to do @CG_MindTricks? I am fine trying to cause the error again. At least I will get some rewards.

@CG_MindTricksthe problem seems to be getting worse on my phone.  Tonight I uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone, and reinstalled the app.  Went into the Pit raid with my old JTR BB8 R2 CLS Han team I've used to solo the Pit hundreds of times.  Waited 15 minutes, solo on 4x auto.  Get to end, Connection Error message.  This time, after about eight toggles between WiFi, Cell, and Airplane mode, it finally registered the victory screen instead of the Connection Error message.

The fact that it is now doing this with my old raid team is very concerning.  At least it finally went through, unlike when I use C3PO, but still not good.

@mcdapper2016 Thanks for the info, I checked your account for the dates and times mentioned and I couldn't find any related errors server side. Were the times provided for when you started the raid or when you finished and got the Connection Error?

One thing worth looking into: I use a Samsung Note 9 and I had the Smart Network Switch turned off. I now turned it on and will see if I can repro on my device.

How about your device? Does it have Smart Network Switch turned off or on? If it's off, try turning it on and please let me know how it goes. If it was on, then try turning it off.

From the info provided, it doesn't look like it has anything to do with the squad used. My suspicion is that it's connected either to the connection and/or long raid/event runs.

You're welcome @CG_MindTricks. Hmmm, okay. The times that I provided were the times each raid or event finished which in turn resulted in the Connection Error.

My Smart Switch was turned off and I just enabled it. Maybe that will solve the problem. Wouldn't that be comical.

I did the Rancor Raid last night hoping to get an error and magically, I did not. I used the zFinn, C-3PO, zRaid Han Solo, zCommander Luke Skywalker, and zBB-8 team again. I was at a movie theater waiting for friends to arrive and used my mobile network. There was no problem. Maybe the environment is a factor. Other than one Connection Error occurrence, I have never had a problem with the Rancor Raid. It is the AAT Raid that is the problem.

I am not convinced it really is a connection error. When it happens, as soon as the AAT Raid concludes, it immediately displays Connection Error. Normally, 1-3 seconds pass before Victory displays. The Connection Error it seems happens in milliseconds. But, there is no evidence to support that theory on your end.

I will report back the next time there is an AAT raid. I am guessing that will be Friday night. Do you know if there is a game update coming today or tomorrow?
